Music and Dance

Music at RKSSS
Music and dance are part of daily life at RKSSS, not just stage performances. Students learn to sing, play instruments, and dance as part of their regular activities, and perform at school assemblies, annual functions, and inter-house competitions throughout the year.

Music Program
- Vocal Music: Training in both classical and contemporary singing styles, with opportunities for choir and solo performances.
- Instrumental Music: Instruction in a range of instruments, building musical literacy and performance ability.
- Performance Opportunities: Regular school assemblies, annual functions, and inter-house competitions give students platforms to perform and build confidence.
Dance at RKSSS
Our dance program covers Indian classical, folk, and contemporary styles. Students learn choreography, practice regularly, and perform at school events and inter-house competitions.

Dance Forms We Teach
- Classical Dance: Introduction to Indian classical dance forms, their movements and cultural significance.
- Folk Dance: Dances from different regions of India, celebrating the country's cultural diversity.
- Contemporary and Western Dance: Modern dance styles that build agility, creativity, and stage presence.
- Choreography: Students participate in creating and presenting routines for school events and inter-house competitions.
What Students Need
The school provides basic instruments and practice spaces for music and dance classes. Students who wish to pursue a specific instrument seriously are encouraged to bring their own. No prior training is required to join — beginners are welcome.
